On Maundy Thursday, we gather to remember Jesus’ commands to His disciples during His last meal as a free man—to wash one another’s feet, to love one another, and to celebrate Holy Communion.

Easter Vigil—April 11th, 7:00 p.m.
Easter Vigil is the church gathering to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection as early as possible—after nightfall on Easter Eve. Ancient peoples believed that the new day began at sundown—which is why we begin to celebrate the two greatest days of the Christian year, Easter and Christmas, with services in the evening.
This service will focus on our participation in Jesus’ resurrection through the sacrament of Baptism. The service will be live-streamed from Salem’s sanctuary. Pastor Hans Becklin will preach.

On Easter Day we pull out all the stops, celebrating the majestic nature of the resurrection. After exploring the mysteries of Baptism at Easter Vigil, we bask in our shared joy as we see Jesus—and through Him, see our future: eternal life.
